The most important partners in the AD-SDI programme are the stakeholders - the entities that generate and use spatial data. The AD-SDI programme is a broad and inclusive effort, involving the public-sector agencies and also encompassing the private sector and civil society. These entities generate and use Fundamental Geographic Data Sets (FGDS). Most of these agencies either have a mandate to provide critical geospatial data or are currently involved in major projects that involve the production of this information. Coordinators from each entity are assigned to work with the AD-SDI Team to help develop Abu Dhabi's SDI.
